6E Farm's BlueFaced Leicester Sheep

We currently have a small flock of Blueface/Border Leicester cross sheep.  We've found that these sheep are fairly rare in this part of the country and so it's been difficult to build up any sizeable flock.  Currently we have two ewes and one white ram and one silver ram.

The Leicester's have a beautiful fleece with a beautiful spiral to their locks that makes it one of the easiest wools to spin for beginning spinners.  It also has it's own sheen that is lovely.  It's also low in lanolin so cleaning is easier.  We're very happy we have added them to the farm and hope to build up our flock as the opportunity arises.

Leicester wool is usually available in the spring.  Check our Farm Store or contact us to reserve yours.  The price for Leicester wool is $12 a pound for raw and $14 a pound for washed.
