6E Farm

It's been a busy winter here.  We have 8 new bottle babies on the farm, all of which are does except 2 and so we will be increasing our dairy herd immensely next year.  We've also picked up a few more does and so that brings our dairy herd up to 5 milking does at this time and all together 16 goats.  The Lord has truly blessed us in finding some wonderful deals on beautiful healthy girls to add to our herd. 

We also have peeping all over the place!  I think we have brought in and hatched out well over 150 chicks.  God has truly blessed us with wonderful hatch rates this year of over 90%.  We have added all the Marans chickens I think we want to and we've added full size Cochins and Welsummers.  Looks like next month will be chicken tractor building time. 

Big project ahead next month.  My dear sweet husband has decided to give up his tool shed which connects to my goat shed.  So, we're pulling everything out, cleaning it up, and pouring a concrete floor, putting in windows and this will become my new milking  barn!  I am so excited about it! 

We also had some new meat bunnies born.  They're so cute!  Shearing time is also at hand.  We'll be shearing Saturday as long as the weather and the shears hold out.  I finally got my farm store up and running.  I don't have a shopping cart set up yet, but you can e-mail me.

We still have some fleeces left for sale.  We have 2 white Leicester fleeces and a silver fleece left.  We also have 4 Mohair fleeces left.  Check out our wool page for prices.  We also have hatching eggs for sale and raw goats milk and herbal vinegars.
